Yesterday, I had an awful day. Nothing went the way I planned it. I got to work and we were short staffed. I didn't have the right equipment for the job. I spilled water all over the paperwork. The last straw was when I didn't leave work untill 3:30 am, which left me with over an 18 hour day. So, what is a gal to do at 3:30 am but go get Starbucks. The Starbucks in Terre Haute by the I-70 ramp is open 24 hours. I pulled up and ordered my Grande Skinny Mocha, and this is when my day truned around. When I drove up to the window, I realized I didn't have any cash, it was in my workout bag (some more of my great luck). Well, God must have been listening. The friendly Starbucks worker opened up the drivethru window, handed me my latte, and said, "Here you go, its on us"!!! I don't know why, nor do I care. I am sure he thought I must be going through caffine withdrawl, because I smiled from ear to ear. Isn't it funny how 18 hours of shear madness can be turned around with a little kindness and a free cup of Starbucks.

When did the Grammy format change?

Tonight, Hank and I watched the Grammy Awards. I don't know about anyone else who watched it, but I didn't realize that it had become the Hip Hop awards. Wow, I bet Brad Paisley felt like an amature standing up on stage by himself and singing. Where was his fireworks and countless parade of feature performers.

Taking handouts after our loss last night

Because of our loss at Farley's Annual Euker Tournment, Emily has been forced to give up her bed and sleep in a box. We really needed those winnings to put a little food on our table.
Thanks Farley Family for another night of great friends and fellowship. We would like to congratulate Chad Farley (cheater) on his winnings and thank our partners, Will Fritchle and David Herndon.

Fun in the snow

On Friday, Hank and Emily went to play in the snow. Emily was so excited she could hardly stand it.
I kind-a think that she looks like the brother on "A Christmas Story"

All she wanted to do was make a snow angel.

HOCKEY, whats hockey

Hank and I are going to a St. Louis Blues hockey game tommorrow night with Travis and Janice. So, this is what I know; there is a puck, sticks, goalie, and zamboie. Hank knows even less, he thought the puck was what the nachos came in and the zamboie served the $8 beers. No really, we are athleticly ignorant. So, to make the trip worth while, I ordered tickets to Body World 3 at the science center. If you dont know what it is, google it. I have been told that it is a really cool exhibit.
